I had my very first surgery.
Don't you just love wisdom teeth? I have to take pain killers every four hours, and they make me feel a little drunk and VERY sleepy.

I remember tidbits of memories. I couldn't speak, so I tried to write something down:

I was trying to ask 'Are my teeth out yet?' But since they saw what I wrote, they took the cotton ball stuff out of my mouth and asked what I was trying to say. I said: "You drugged me!" I cried the rest of the time and had to be carried out in a wheel chair.

Lovely.

1. Hope you have a speedy recovery...
My wisdom teeth came in reasonably straight, and didn't appear to be crowding out the other teeth so the consensus was to leave them in. Of course, they weren't subjected to the barrage of fluoride treatments so I've had cavities filled in 2 of them.

Enjoy your pharmacological vacation! :)

That's the pain killers talking though.

5. I was given Lortab for my hernia surgery a few years back....
The prescription was refillable about 3 times, and I took all of the first bottle over the course of a couple of days. I forgot to call in the refill on time, so I missed a dose and was literally shaking and sweating. One bottle, and I was straight-up addicted to the things! I flushed the remaining pills and switched to Advil.

I don't react well to drugs of any kind- especially painkillers and anesthesia.

6. I don't know what kind of pain medication I'm on.
I just know that I have control of my mind but I say silly things once and awhile. I told one of my friends that if I was as pretty as him, I'd be a nudist doing Elvis impersonations, put it that way.

3. They had to shatter and then drill out two of mine from behind and underneath them
much suckage, that.

9. Lol, get well soon!
When I had mine out I woke up in a recovery cot with my friend and a dental assistant telling me to stop throwing the packing across the room. Evidently in my drugged stated I had taken the packing out 6 or seven times and told them to stop bothering me because I was trying to sleep. :o
