Who still has Christmas shopping to do?
If you're venturing out this weekend into retail hell, I wish you safe passage and much patience.

1. Oh! Us! Us!
:bounce:

We haven't even started! Ha! Eh, I'm a good shoppah, and will be calm and placid as I wade my way through the disheveled masses. :D

4. Why not wait until the 26th to return it?
It's like reliving Thunderdome.

5. This is the first time I have had everything bought and wrapped 5 days before Christmas.
I finished wrapping the last gift on Thursday. I can't believe I did it, usually I am still wrapping on Christmas Eve.

8. I have two more gifts to get
Edited on Sat Dec-22-07 11:02 AM by Saint Etienne17
I still need to get something for my mom, but since she's told me to not get anything unless she's right there next to me, I'll hold off on that (although I did buy her a jar of harissa, some pop up French sponges, and I will buy her one or two packages of Saint-Marcellin cheese if I can get the person at the Bristol Farms deli counter to test it the cheese is not overripe. My mom likes getting French stuff she cannot easily find so hopefully she'll like the little things I got her. For my sister I may just get her an e-mail gift card to amazon.

11. Grocery shopping won't be much better
I trekked out this morning, joined a gym, stopped at Pier 1 to pick up three 100-packs of tealights and managed to find the perfect wall hangings for my entry (and 35% off too). My last stop was the grocery store and it was a nightmare! I had the pleasure of beating an SUV into one of the last parking spaces, inside it was utter chaos near the meat, seafood and deli sections. Produce wasn't much better, and that's where I was headed to get a variety of wild mushrooms for the risotto I'm making Christmas day. While picking out my shiitake mushrooms I helped an utterly clueless, but charmingly sweet older woman with tips on how to cook the shiitake, though I suggested she stick with something a bit more mainstream than the mix I was getting. Checking out was the least harrowing part of the experience, they actually had every single register open.
