Yesterday I was sooooo blue about the holidays and was wondering what I would do b/c I didn't want to do anything for Christmas. And so I posted a thread here about suggestions and people were just generally kind and had good ideas and were encouraging. thank you.
I talked to my kids and we're gonna have tamales that I bought at the farmer's mkt in the summer - hand made, chicken and mango and other good stuff, and mango salsa (and, oh yeah, they've been in the freezer for a while, don't worry, no one will croak) because I just did not want to do something traditional and I have all these books I've been sorting all over the place.
so, while wasting time here for breaks, and reading you all who make everyone laugh, I've gotten through most all the boxes of books! some have to go back into the box room, but they'll go back with other things they belong with and I can deal with those later.
and so today I really felt better and tried to build on that rather than slide into that amorphous it-has-no-reason-yet-there-it-is blues and took a shower then I asked probably one of the stupidest questions I've thought of in a while and one answer made me laugh outloud in my car today when I got over that holiday bump and dealt with things I needed to do.
sooo, once again, thank you!
the only problem is that my neighbor saw me and now I have to go to their open house, which is really okay after all.
