6. What do you mean, your Mum's stocking?
First, are you Canadian or something? What's this "Mum" stuff? :7

Seriously, are you doing her darning or it it something else? Either way, you've accomplished more than I have, although I did resolve a huge disagreement with my significant other and am in a disgustingly chipper mood.

10. You know, a Christmas stocking
Edited on Mon Dec-24-07 02:18 AM by GirlinContempt
that you put little gifts in.

For example, I got her:
A murano glass magnifying glass
A hand painted ceramic Art Nouveau nightlight
A leather bound notebook embossed with a replica of a 17th century silk pattern
Thrills chewing gum, the gum that tastes like soap!
A leopard print eyeglass cleaning cloth
Blown glass shoe and purse shaped ornaments
A mini cribbage board, foldable for easy transportation
Some funky cocktail napkins
A cute silver and enamel necklace in the shape of an eye mask
a purse hook ( http://www.cwdesignllc.com/servlet/StoreFront?gclid=CJ6EjsOuwJACFQ2nGgodTCH8Wg )
Some cranberry tea
A carved pen with a pirate on it
A really cute magnetic notepad for lists
Bejeweled pens from the Bombay company
A set of funky bookmarks and reusable stickers for marking pages
Some fun printed purse tissues
A teal purse mirror with a glass mosaic pattern on the back
A little slim flashlight printed with a 1920s woman

...I could go on, but you get the idea? And you stuff it in a 'stocking'.. :P

Technically it's my Dads job to do her stocking, so ever since I was old enough to shop on my own I've done it :P I did pretty damn good for only going out shopping 3 times, and once was at the hospital.

22. Oh my dear, you put me to shame.
Also, you make me wish you were my daughter. :P

I have to fill three kids' stockings and I am utterly numb when it comes to thinking of what works. You are gifted and dammit, I may steal a couple of your idea. That is, if I can find a mini cribbage board tomorrow between the hours of 11:00 and 1:00.

Wishing you and your family the very best of Christmases, GirlinContempt.

Edited on Mon Dec-24-07 03:50 AM by GirlinContempt
:P At least mostly. My Mum does everyone elses, and she works really hard on them. Our stockings are pretty great, so I always try to do something really fab and a little over the top for her, because she works so hard on everyones. Thanks for the compliments, I will conceitedly admit that I am pretty good at finding gifts for people. It's a 'gift' :P

For her actual present, she's just getting an electronic sudoku game and a voucher for us to go get manicures and pedicures together from me.

Well, and I found these really adorable coffee mugs with fishes on them that I'm going to wrap up, but they're from the cats ;)

Apparently today everything is 'fun' or 'cute' or 'adorable'...

19. Not that bad, I finished...
Just unload and reload the dishwasher, and then scrub the counter and glasstop stove, which aren't nearly as dirty as I was afraid they were.

8. I cleaned up the wiring in my RV (it should be safe now)
Edited on Mon Dec-24-07 02:27 AM by Omphaloskepsis
Put up some trim in the same RV and started taping it up for painting.

And right now I am putting a new hard drive in my sisters computer and installing Windows 2000 Pro. And getting drunk.

Just back in from a trip. Into town early, coffee with friends, messing around. And then exchanging gifts this evening with the coffee friends, and other friends :)

12. My dear GirlinContempt...
Well....

I'm still decorating my tree...

I've wrapped a bunch of gifts...

Made various meals...

Done some laundry...

Made my husband happy...

Posted a bunch...

And I'm not done yet!

I'll bet your Mum will be thrilled at your beautiful gift...

Merry Christmas, sweetie...

27. I really like Seth Rogen
Every time I see him in something, I feel like I know him. It's like he reminds me of someone very strongly, but I don't actually know anyone he could remind me of. Weird.

I would have watched 8 and a half hours of footbal but I had to turn off the TV during buffalo's epic collapse against the Giants. Just too painful.
