7. I agree completely
I'm already shocked and appalled by some of the answers on this thread from supposedly "liberal" people and I just know it's going to get worse. *sigh*

at the prison. His peers will settle the score. He has violated parole so it can happen easily. Thats my hope.

Yes, that will be a jury of his peers....

6. I agree
If they put him in prison pending trial, he'll never make it to trial. He might even get a few doses of his own medicine first.

9. That could very well be what will happen.
Jeffery Dahmer didn't last too long in prison...

11. He should be kept in humane conditions, given productive and lucrative

employment, and every cent he makes above what is needed for his basic needs should go to a fund either for the education of Carlie's siblings, or to provide free self-defense classes for low income children.

I do not admire brutality enough to want to imitate it or prove that I can surpass it, and it is unlikely that any attempt to do so will bring Carlie back or help another child avoid the same fate.

12. This is a situation where I would accept the death penalty as just.

This man was caught on tape, and had tried it before, and perhaps has done it and gotten away with it on runaways, prostitutes, etc.

14. Life in prison
among the general population.

Convicts (and street kids) absolutely hate anyone who harms children, since so many of them were themselves abused children.

15. It doesn't matter
He probably won't survive prison. If he makes it to his trial, I will be surprised....Even the most hardened murderers in jail can't stand child molesters/murderers.

16. Remember The (New) Outer Limits Episode With Virtual Reality Prison?
A person could be hooked up to a machine that would make them perceive a lifetime of prison in just a few days. They would be unaware of being hooked up to the machine and their perception of reality would be that they endured 50 years in prison.

something like that... just don't unplug him after a few days.

Leave him hooked up so that every week equals another 50 years in prison.
