Spending a quiet Xmas evening at home with a horseshit-covered dog
I observed Christmas by going on a long trail hike with my dog in the hills by my home.

6. It's been a great Christmas
I dropped my husband and son off at LAX, spent the morning installing software, then hiked all afternoon. Finished off with peanut butter sandwich and a hot bath. I may break into the roommate's cognac tonight.

9. Well, as I said yesterday, the only dude on our roof bearing gifts yesterday
was the plumber bearing the gift of unblocked pipes. :P

10. Uh, horse shit will wash right off.
Time for a bath buddy! I have six dogs & they tend to roll around in "good smelling stuff" like that. How about a picture of this rascal?

12. Here he is
He's on the left, with his Lab buddy.

He's had his bath. I had enough that manger-in-the-stable smell.

13. He's also fond of rolling around on dead things.
I'll never forget the time he rolled around on a dead seal or dolphin at the beach. You could smell him at 50 paces.

21. hehe
one of the funniest things I've ever seen was encountering a dead sea lion on the beach. I was looking at it from a safe distance, when I hear a woman scream "NOOOOO!!!!!!" as her dog took off full speed and charged RIGHT INTO this dead, rotting sea lion. She was just screaming. The dog was in heaven. I was literally on my knees, laughing so hard.
