PSA - not everyone celebrates Christmas

All morning so far - "How was your christmas!?" to which I politely respond, "Very nice, and you?" That's when it gets obnoxious - "What did you get?" "What did you buy for your SO?", "Did you go to your family's?" etc.

So I politely say, "Well, I don't celebrate christmas - we had a quiet day at home."

And it continues - "Why don't you celebrate? Is it a religious thing? Is it because of the commercialization?" and on and on.

I don't celebrate christmas. I don't like christmas. I don't want to bring others down by going into why.

Why can't people just take a hint and shut the fuck up? :banghead:

that others may not be like they are. they really should have gotten the hint after your comment about having a quite day at home.

Those are probably the same people who drive pregnant women nuts with questions like "Was it planned?" , "Do you feel fat?" and "Can I feel the baby kick?"
