Poll question: Oh, no. I left the turkey stock out overnight. Should I....
I very cleverly tossed the carcass and the other bits into my stock pot and was boiling them last night. At some point, the stock pot did indeed get turned off, but left out over night. What should I do with it?

1. was the pot covered?
in my house, anything left uncovered will have a layer of dog hair on it overnight. Otherwise, boil the heck out of it and enjoy.

2. LOL. It was covered.
Now that you mention it, my feline furry ones probably would have snacked on it if it wasn't. They do tend to get into everything. :D

5. I'd simmer it for a minute just to be sure
though bringing the turkey itself to 180º F when roasting will kill the salmonella that may be in it.

6. It's probably OK....
But if you're planning on storing it, I'd bring it to a boil and let it cool down again just to be safe.

7. One day should be okay. But boil at a fair pace!

... just to make sure.
