Interesting, the generosity of so many towards the rich.
For the sake of this exercise in futility assume " the rich " refers to anyone that has an income of over a million dollars a year.
This thread is being posted as a result of reading thru another thread here about rich people & " their " money.
Without getting into specifics, a common theme running thru the thread seemed to be that rich people that had earned the money were entitled to spend it in whatever way they saw fit.
What appears to be overlooked is the fact that it is not all "their" money.
In what looks to be one of the largest & most overlooked examples of welfare for the rich is the vast sums of extra money the rich have to spend because of the smaller & smaller of percentage of taxes the rich are asked to pay.
As far can be determined there is no term to define what to call this type of theft or scam that is being participated in by all the rich people, but it does not seem to be something that can be debated.
For every dollar the rich get to keep as a result of the declining top tax brackets that is a dollar that either has to be made up by the people in the lower brackets or a reduction in services for America as a whole.
There is no intent to say any rich people are thieves or criminals. The objection is to so many people saying it is " their " money. Until a true democracy is established and an equitable tax system is in place and certainly until after the bus*h tax cuts are repealed, it is not all " their " money, a big hunk of " their " money is " ours ".
