We ha to put down the matriarch of our Shepard pack today

Nikita. She was 8 years old and developed congestive heart failure. Our other 2 Shepards are looking for her, they haven't eaten yet. She always ate first. She was our only blue.



We lost our 12 year old boxer around 2 months ago, it's been a bad dog year..

I moderate a yahoogroup for guardians of dogs with heart disease. So, I see these stories way too often. And every one is a great tragedy.

she was a great dog. She ran the pack. We have a male with hearing loss and she was his ears. I don't know how the other 2 will do without her.

I lost Koshie and Polly within 8 months of each other, and while Pippi and Bailey are sweet, it's really not the same. :(
