I went to Bodies: the Exhibition today

The exhibition near Boston was flat out fascinating. I debated going through a second time but had some time constraints. The specimens of the circulatory systems were mind-bogglingly complex. I am glad I am not a smoker after seeing smoker's lungs up close, yeesh. I have a decent anatomy knowledge for a non-medical person (background in biophysics) and I think that helped to get more out of the exhibit compared with some of the questions I heard others asking.

Recommended. I understand there is some controversy surrounding these exhibits, and while I understand the concerns as to exactly where the bodies come from I did not feel the cadavers were exploited or displayed in a macabre way. Now, to exercise more to take better care of my own body....

1. I've read about that; it seems like the exhibit, which people expect to be repulsive,
strikes most visitors as being unexpectedly fascinating.

It's certainly unique, any other considerations aside.

2. We saw it when it was here in Los Angeles a few years ago...
And we loved it!

It is an amazing, and very educational exhibit!

I strongly recommend it to adults and probably teens...younger children if they're mature...

It does help to have some medical background, or to go with someone who does...

It's returning to LA in March...

I saw no exploitation or macabre displays.

People were walking around, and talking in hushed whispers...Much as they would in church...

Yes! Recommended!

This surprised me a little bit.

And the alveoli of the lung bear a striking resemblance to broccoli.
