A "fundie christian" is a Fundamentalist Christian, am I right? A sect of Christianity that has its roots in Protestantism and, more specifically, the Baptist wing of the Protestant lineage (with exceptions, of course). Said Baptist wing has its roots in the American South, in the 20th century, and is characterized by a firm belief in the absolute truth of the Bible, especially the New Testament, and is based on such sacraments as baptism, being "bathed in the blood of the Lamb," and accepting Jesus Christ as your true Lord and Savior. Clinton was a Baptist, I think. Carter was. Maybe LBJ---I just don't know.

Anyway, I'm assuming that "fundie christian" is considerd derogatory, so I guess Fundamentalist Christians would indeed react negatively "when someone writes fundie christian in a bad way." Isn' t the mere writing of "fundie christian," then, in and of itself, considered "in a bad way"?

People tend to be pretty sensitive about stuff like this, in my experience...

Anyway, I went on americanforum, and read your long argument with what's-his-name. That's all I have time to look at, just now, but I'll go back and explore it further. Unlike some on this list, I think it's pretty important to keep up with what's being said everywhere. How else are you gonna know what the fuck is going on out there? So what am I supposed to learn from the back-and-forth you had with what's-his-name and the others? These same arguments have been going on for 30 years---and that's just as long as I've been paying attention. I know it goes back further than that. So okay: Israelis killing innocent Palestinians is wrong. Hell yeah! Palestinians killing Israelis is kinda wrong, but they have no choice. Eh....I don't buy that they have no choice. Sorry.

In any case, a diplomat you are not. Dude, face it! Two angry people with intractible views yelling at each other (even in print) is getting the world nowhere. To the extent that he called you "KKK" and "White Aryan Nation" and all that stuff, well, that's wrong too. I have no evidence you're a member of any of those groups, and I assume that if you were you'd be proud to say it. Most members of those organizations whom I've met certainly are.

I thougt that Sharon's statement about withdrawing a lot of people from the O.T. was a positive step, although how much that has to do with the current bribery scandal he's dealing with now, I can't say. It's easy to be cynical. Indeed, it's hard not to be. That goes for any politician's move.

I might be more open to your arguments if you didn't come across as so vitriolicly angry, lashing out at anyone who argues a point with you.
