13. Very frightening and very sad

While I had my reservations about Benazir Bhutto, I never doubted her integrity, passion, sincerity and courage. She showed time and time again that she was prepared to fight for her principles and for democracy regardless of the personal consequences for her. She was a remarkable woman and I mourn her loss. My thoughts, prayers, condolences and deepest sympathies are also with her family and in particular for her children, who aren't that old.

As for the political ramifications -very frightening. Things just got a whole lot worse
