I feel as though I'm coming apart and do not like this feeling

Got home from California last night to find a sick, limping kitty (Monty). Am very sick with a terrible sore throat, headache and chills myself. Had to miss work today, which I really can't afford to do, but am just feeling too yucky. Have to do a divorce prove-up for a colleague tomorrow and have no information to go on, and being out of the office isn't helping. Had to drag myself out of the house to get Monty to the vet (fever and probably body aches causing the limp and stiffness - gave him antibiotics and anti-inflammatories). Am worrying about stuff I need to do for work and fretting that I'm sick today. Now Bhutto is assassinated, and as I have marriage ties to Pakistan it's really bothering me. I think I'll just go to bed and try to sleep all this off.

8. Sleeping off the sickness is a good idea,

You caught whatever is making its way around the Bay Area. The SO's had it since Xmas eve and I have it now --slept for 14 hours on Xmas and felt much better yesterday. Monty will probably do some marathon sleeping too.

The Bhutto assassination is horrible. I hope for the best for Mr. DTBK's family and friends.
