NewsCenter 5's Pam Cross reported that Margaret and Richard Carey are angry, grieving and deeply disappointed. They donated corneas and other tissue for transplants when their son, Adam, died. Months later, they learned the donations were never used.

In September 2000, Adam Carey was a 16-year-old caddie working for Kernwood Country Club in Salem. His golf cart overturned, crushing his chest. Unfortunately, the fluids and medications he received in the emergency room meant his tissue could not be used for transplantation -- something his parents were never told.
