the GD/ GDP forums confuse me

I thought that the GDP was going to be the forum for all political stuff (ie election) and the GD is reserved for all other general discussion. I often lose out by not checking the GDP because I get into enough 'political' debate in GD.

There is tons of 'political debate' in GD and some general debate (ie Bhutto) in the GDP.

First and foremost, I love the Lounge above all.

this is not a criticism of DU, or the mods, but I remember the days before the GDP and so, I often forget to check the GDP...

on edit: I am avoiding "election talk" for a while cause I am burned out after the holidays, but I loves me my general discussion (ie tiger attack.......)

3. You have to understand the reason for the split

GD:P was created for the '04 primary season to keep the election-related poo flinging confined to one forum, away from the other kinds of poo flinging in GD.
