8. I understand the 7 year old stuff; had one once.

And it is necessary to gird thy loins to do some things that only parents understand.

I would have waited for the DVD, however. Anyway, I miss taking my 7 year old to movies, 24 years later, so you will survive this (I hope). Come to think of it, I did become a regular watcher of The Chipmunks TV cartoon show when it was on in the '80s, because of my daughter.

Who knows, maybe the sound of chipmunks singing is indeed what she heard? With all the lunacy surrounding religion this election, it's at least plausible. I would rather hear that than hear W. mispronounce "nukular" for the millionth time as I leave this mortal coil.

2. My eight-year-old got a few yucks out of it

My date slept through it. Major jet lag.

I was stuck there, amazed that acting could be so wooden.

5. You should've seen Water Horse.

We went to see Alvin but it was sold out so we took the kids to see Water Horse. It was an excellent and moving story. We really liked it.
