1. You could bring it to Philly for our next gathering
and cook for us there. I'm sure Ramsey will let you use her kitchen

3. Oooooooh sweet!
I want one! *pout*

What color is it?

Does the bowl sit in the hook or the stand? (I've seen two kinds, sorry if I'm not describing them well enough to make sense.)

oooooohhhh... fresh bread!

8. There's one with a hook thing
that sticks out from the part that holds up the mixer arm (this is really terrible but I'm tryin), it's like a wishbone shaped thing, and the bowl just kind of sits wedged in the thing. I think with that model you don't have to lift the mixer arm to remove the bowl, it just slides down and out or something.

I sound really stupid. Sorry!

10. no, no, no
not stupid at all. this is the 4 1/2 quart model. no arm to tilt it back. it has a lever 'lock' that locks the arm in place. just flip the lever and hoist it back to tilt. i think the largest model has the lever thingy

Doesn't matter really... they're all wonderful. :)

24. Mine's "cobalt blue"
I should have bought the white one, but I wanted to be different. It's really hard to keep clean. The meat grinder, cheese grater and pasta maker attachments are next on the list.

These are great, and the best part is you can probably pass it down to your grandchildren.

This is where we got ours, BTW... from grandma. It was the one she bought in the stone age. Oh, the power... turning it on, it's so strong and quiet, kinda like having a V8 in the kitchen.

(On edit: the Kitchenaid 1958 model 4-C, only we couldn't find the sausage grinder)

I got mine from my mom.

1960's model.

Found all the grinder and sausage attachments at a thrift store not so long ago.

I've made tons of bread and cookiesetc but no sausage yet.

Christmas and I just made my first batch of chocolate chip cookies...and they were better than Mrs Fields. I have some dough hook kneaded dough rising for rolls right now. It's addictive! Enjoy it!! :hi:

27. Yaaaay!
DH bought me the professional 6-quart one (mine's white,) when he got a $izable bonus from the office a few years back.

Holiday cooking is a breeze with it, and we use it almost every day. I LOVE the Kitchen Aid mixer!

Have a great time!
