is anyone looking to hire a land surveyor?

i'm gainfully employed as a project manager/instrument operator/crew chief, but we're going through another layoff next week. i've survived well over double digits in layoffs, and i probably will survive the massive layoff next week.

however, i really hate going through this even though i've never felt i'm getting laid off. however, this next layoff could be the time i go, not because i'm laid off, but because our branch gets shuttered.

i most likely will be one of the few to survive because of my experience, education, and skills in most facets of the business, but i think it's time for me to move on to a more stable company.

and so, this is my first searching for a new job; it's better than Monster.com.

did your company do residential surveys--is the lousy housing market taking a toll?

2. actually, my company doesn't do those too much

they're all about the large budget jobs, which is our big problem in my view. we have 2 massive jobs at least in the coming year, but right now during the winter season, we're struggling.

3. real estate brokers/developers, commercial property auditors, etc...

construction firms, steel work/structures/high rises; may need to work as an IC for a while (you may even prefer that over time), but it will be good in either event to have your name out i would think :thumbsup:
