Thought I'd share . . .
I keep thinking about something my daughter said yesterday. We were sitting in our little downtown area over steaming bowls of Vietnamese noodle soup discussing religion. She said that she always envisions it to be a "little ball of hate wrapped up in a big sweet, gooey ball of marshmallow". I couldn't agree more.

2. That is very perceptive.
I definitely think that's mostly accurate.

My 21 yr old daughter was brought up in a small catholic town, so she went through all the baptism shit, and confirmation and so on (I'm Protestant so I don't understand a lot of this)

I asked her about her first, and last, Confession when she was around 17.

She said "I'm not gonna tell my secrets to some old guy"
Good for her!
She hasn't been to church since - even Midnight Mass

Mike

5. She had attended a *Christian* school for middle and high school years . . .
I kept telling her to take what was said with the inevitable *grain of salt*.
We're such rabble rousers!
