We drive up and Retro and Thom are outside they were waiting for us.(OK maybe not waiting for us but they were outside).
I immediately recognized them from their photos. Chris and I were both drawn to them immediately. I grabbed Thom and hugged him and then Retro grabbed Thom and hugged him too. (This may or may not have happened this way but it's my "story") So then I had to hug Retro because he looked like a guy you'd like to hug. Chris just shook their hands.
We told them that we were from the division of homeland insecurity and they invited us in. LizzieGrace was at the airport so she wasn't there yet but they introduced us to the most beautiful woman. She actually looks like a movie star.
After we met the beautiful one, Thom started to get the hors d'oeuvres ready. Chris and I tried to help but were mostly in the way of the very well organized food prep area. Retro decided to help Thom out by enticing us with, you guessed it, his red PJ's (as I said it's my story, but really, it was a nice cup of coffee). We settled in the living room and while Retro was telling us a story other people started arriving. There was a friend of Lelapins and The SallyManders then Lady President followed by LizzieGrace and Lelapin and finally Venus and Ironfist. All of them were smart and beautiful, seriously so.
Chris and I were beginning to realize we were out of our league when Retro hopped onto the coffee table and announced it was time to eat, (so what if he didn't really hop on the table, or announced it was time to eat he could have if he'd wanted to).
I can't really tell you what happened after that because I was sworn to secrecy, the people involved were all professionals and what happened at the party stays at the party, you should have been there.
