I sit down, inspired, to write a short sci fi. Does it get done?! NO! Because the moment I sit down, it's gone like a light!

Sometimes it's helpful to just jot down the opening idea...very briefly, in a notebook...

And then let it be...

Or whatever works for you...

I agree, though...writer's block is tough...

Just write anything, stream of consciousness, anything at all...

It's like priming the pump!

The ideas will start showing up!
