11. I'll second that emotion

I haven't liked New Years for a long time...

and this is the first year that I'm alone on New Years in 20 years.

That is my choice I guess, as I made no plans to do anything, I have just been used to being either home, or doing something with mutual friends (estranged wife and I) so I will try not to slip into a self pity stupor and will instead, just hang out, watch TV, go on DU, talk on the phone to my son.

Hopefully talk to a special friend of mine on the phone a few times.

Otherwise, yeah, it sucks, well sorta.

I'm sorry about your allergies and being sick and all RP.

Just talked to my son, was thinking about him, but he is spending the evening with his mom, and tomorrow he goes to visit her side of the family for their get together. I've got to work anyway.

I see you're from Boston.
Contra Dancing is easy to learn, aerobic, and fun.
Live Band, great music, the caller there tonight is very good and lots of fun.
No need to go with a partner.
I'll be going to my local dance near Philadelphia by myself and expect to have a fun time.
