2. It was a butt
A couple friends were horsing around. We had another friend renovate our kitchen last year, and he was over last night and said that there weren't enough studs in that part of the wall. So it was just unsupported drywall, and they hit it a bit too hard. I was upset but he assured me it would be really easy to fix!

It looks ugly now, but once it's fixed it'll be a funny story! :D

Happy New Year to you too! Hope you and LovesOhioBlues had a great night!

I'm a little sad that it's back to the grindstone tomorrow but a 3 day work week isn't too bad.

 Thanks!

25. Smashed Moshers?!!
Definitely not the work of smashed noshers! That's nutz... series!!!!1!!

Honestly, I haven't attended a party with results like that in, well... over a decade. *snort*

We three Green Meanies observed a relaxed and *quiet* passing from the old into the new.
I lost my Texas Hold 'em mojo around 10 o'clock and all of my $10 chips were stacked in front of my twelve year old before the ball dropped in Time's Square... card shark he is! Mr. Green Meanie struggled to stay awake and was sound asleep by 12:30. Little GM and I hit the sheets before 2:00.

We did a little *smashing* ourselves lastnight... smashing of the chocolate nutcracker!

*:hi:* BTW, I've made a first of the year post for a DU Meet Up here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=105&topic_id=7304669&mesg_id=7304669

12. A friend who was over
got pushed into it by another friend -- they both feel terrible!

They offered to fix it, or to pay for it to be fixed. Our friend who renovated the kitchen says it'll be a snap, so i'm not too worried.

How was your night, SPK? Happy New Year!

I had a very good night, thanks!

Put a CD on, took the tree down, and just generally did some cleaning up...

A good friend called, and we had a lovely conversation...

And of course, I was here!

Minus the few minutes I stole with my husband for a suitable welcome to 2008...;-)

45. Actually the house is from 1875!
But the kitchen was added on in the early '40s. Then a little entryway was added in the '80s. It's a hodgepodge. And the whole thing is only 880 square feet! :)

The wall where the hole is is in the kitchen... the friend who did our renovations said that there were too few studs there.
