You write poetry (and may I say that most DUers <not to denigrate those that don't fit the category> know how to write?!) and good stories and creative tag lines. You read books that matter and can comment on them without sounding like idiots. (see this thread for the fantastic goofy song lyrics DUers wrote about my pal the chef today)

I'm beginning to ramble and I'm having a hard time expressing what I want to say. So, just -- thanks, DU. Thanks Skinner and the others, thanks to all the mods, thanks to the Lounge regs, thanks to my Family here -- just thanks.

I don't remember when I've had so much fun on an MB, or felt more like part of a community.

to have been the member of a GLBT/friendly chorus for 7 years... sang back up on this one w/ three friends in a show they put on just for the hell of it. One of my funnest times on earth.

I feel the same way. Refreshing isn't it? This place has enabled me to stay focused on the prize for more than a year now and you have articulated a large part of the reason why. I could not begin to list all the people here that have inspired me, amused me, brought tears to my eyes and yes, pissed me off. So thank you Betha Venation and all of DU.
