Host on C-Span said that the * & Russert interview is being taped
I was listening to C-Span this morning and the host mentioned that the Sunday interview is going to be a pre-taped interview and not a live one.

How many takes are going to be needed to complete this interview?

I also wonder how much of the interview is being overdubbed and edited out before it will be shown.

What a crock of shit!

1. Pathetic that they allow that! MTP has zero credibility - and he has
the unmitigated gall to persecute other guests live?
Russert is a joke. I knew there was something rotten in this sudden "interview" - more like an "infomercial."

2. What a crock of shit
I knew that something was going to be out of place and unfair about the "interview".

I bet they will have cotton over the lens so that the asshole looks softer.

3. The chimp is incapable of completing a coherent sentence. Thus,
it will be a long, laborious process with the tape stopping and starting while Rove and Co. come up with appropriate answers which must be rehearsed before they can be taped. I predict the questions will have been submitted (and approved) in advance so that much of the rehearsal will have taken place before Timmy arrives. Nevertheless, I'd love to be a fly on the wall of this one. The outtakes would be priceless.

5. Can someone slow the tape down
Do a frame by frame study of it and see how many times it was cut and pasted together?

6. I knew it! Bush wouldn't dare go live.
I wonder if they'll do a five second delay. But this is good news...I can't wait for the presidential debates!! :-)

7. Is there any person who does not think the media is totally pro-Bush*
(or anti-Democrat)? This taping of Meet The Press is proof. Orwellian?

9. NBC/MTP is so eager to get a ratings kick
that theyll let Rove dictate all the terms.

10. Not too surprising
They'll have to edit out shrub bursting into tears in the unlikely event that Russert accidently asks him a real question.

12. I have just sent this response to MTP
I have just been informed that the interview with President Bush is being taped.
If this is true I am absolutely appalled!
The integrity of reporting depends on the spontaneity of candid answers.
If the interview with President Bush is taped it will create the appearance that the WH may have been able to control not only the questions but the responses.
If you are pre recording this interview it will be seen as nothing but a performance and thus be a great disservice to the citizens of this country.
I would hope you would have the ethics and dignity to address this as you air the performance and inform your audience of each edit.
Otherwise MTP will have lost all of its' credibility!
We should all let CBS know what we think of this.

14. "Press the Meat'
you don't expect Dim Son to miss church do ya? Wonder if the lighting will cast a saintly glow around his melon.

Upside is that Letterman should have a field day with his "Fun Edit" segments.
