I think the idea of sending back a series of Terminators to build advanced items is pretty cool, and would open up some interesting story lines. Summer Glau running around in the buff can't hurt, either.

The one male terminator so far is terrible. I've never seen such an unconvincing robot.

5. Standard TV action boilerplate so far.
The pilot had a lot of production value going for it, but that's about all.

If they don't develop the characters and it's just "run from the robots" every week, then I'm out.

7. Actress who played her was way too skinny. (spoilers)
They should've gone with someone with a bunch of muscle. This takes place after T2, after all, when Sarah Connor has been doing pull-ups in the nuthouse for years on end.

Also, I thought having a teenage girl terminator was a lame plot device.

8. "Also, I thought having a teenage girl terminator was a lame plot device."
The writers had to do that so they could introduce the ham-fisted, inevitable story line in which John Connor and the teenbot fall in love.

Ugh

10. Written directly from a template it would seem...
Written directly from a template it would seem, with a built in audience of sub-literate fans from the Terminator movies. In other words-- evidence that every time the writer's strike, we're left with crap (but crap that people will still watch...)

11. It was written by WGA member Josh Friedman.
So we can't blame a scab for the pilot's mediocrity.

He is not crossing the picket line. Apparently there are eight episodes that have been filmed but not finished.

This from a blog post:

"Unfortunately, I've only locked picture on the pilot and each one of those other eight precious little diamonds is now sitting uneasily in an editing bay like a toddler whose parent has passed out on the couch from too much Vicodin.

In this case, the couch is the picket line and the Vicodin is my vow that I will do NO WORK on my show until the strike is finished. No writing, no editing, no sound mixing, no casting, no notes calls, no publicity, no NOTHING."

I don't know what kind of deal Friedman's company has with Fox, but I'll bet that Fox finds a way to slap the footage together and air it.

Could make for some REALLY bad TV.

13. Ok...evidence that membership of the WGA...
Ok then... evidence that membership of the WGA does not necessarily mean one is actually has talent.

Anyways-- I was ragging on the show, not the writer's behind it

Maybe I should actually think before I write. Naaah. That would prevent too much fun :)

12. Not bad
Could have been much worse. I will tune in tonight as well. Yeah there are plot holes, some poor acting, and things, but overall the show works well for what it is. Give it a try.

And I say this as unbiased as I can considering I am going to be Summer Glau's husband. One day. When the restraining order is lifted.
