Lately, I've been on a losing streak and I'm starting to take it personal.

Didn't get the job I wanted--took the reject call as I sat on the hopper in the ladies room at my present job, which I tolerate. "You really impressed us, but we went with another applicant." WTF? Why even tell me that?

My cat hates me.

I'm not buying winning lottery tickets.

My boss thinks I'm weird and too quiet. (I have nothing to say--I just show up)

And multiple other things that I won't discuss because it has to do with my photography and writing abilities which apparently suck right now.

So....who's on a winning streak here? Anyone?

Those prospective employers? They're worthless. Lets face it, if they didn't hire you, they probably stink. And they'll hate their new hire in a month.

The lottery tickets? The lottery addicts and the counter help steal all the good numbers. Can you help it if you're honest?

A cat? Feed him/her small portions once a day for 3 days and they'll honey up in no time. Worthless beggers.

Bosses don't think. They're not paid to think.

You need some major ass kissing to make you feel better. Call a charity and say you're trying to decide where to leave your millions and you'd like to talk to the Director.

I'm a 52 yr. old guy trying to get through grad school and realizing the brain cells seem to be operating at diminished capacity...

I am constantly shadowed by an 18 yr. old cat who makes unreasonable demands, often in english...

After 35 years of work which kept me active and outdoors for extended periods I am now engaged in a path which keeps me anchored in front of this life-energy-sucking computer screen for hours and hours and days and days and the days slip into weeks and the weeks slip into years...

In almost every area of my life.

I've been unable to find permanent employment and that seems unlikely to change soon
I got screwed over by the person who was supposed to help me finding employment, who eroded all of my self-confidence by her consistent bullying and demeaning ways
I've never been in a relationship
My mother passed away last year at an age too young from an illness she defied the statistical odds to get

And I won't even go into what else
