1. I think we're hard-wired to guess based on what we think we know.
After all, how much do we ever really know with total certainty?

3. I don't really know, but....
If people did NOT do that I have a feeling the last 7 years would not have happened (starting with the amount of people who STILL think Saddam Hussein had something to do with 9/11)

4. People want to make sense out of the universe
And aren't willing to accept that things might be more complicated than they appear. They also want to feel good about themselves, even if it's at someone else's expense. Republicans, in particular, know this and exploit it to the max. Reagan was a master at that.

That's my take on it, at least.

5. Only time I get off on speculation
is if I spend a buck on a lottery ticket. I'm paying for the entertainment... a full day to waste thinking of crazy things I'd do if I actually won. :)

10. My way of pointing out that there IS a way to get off on and enjoy speculation...
Edited on Wed Jan-23-08 11:33 PM by DarkTirade
without being a cock to other people in the process. :)

Something the tabloid rags and sensationalist news people, and the people who lap up the crap they put out, don't seem to care if they do or not.

13. Because of the shit the aliens that the FBI and CIA refuse to acknowledge polluted our water
with alien chemicals, elements that we've never heard of, that would be positioned in the interstitials of our Periodic Table, which is a purely made up abomination from the NSA and KGB anyway.

I mean, look - on 9/11 I was in Oklahoma, and I looked to the east and I did not ANY smoke - AT ALL - clearly the WTC attacks NEVER HAPPENED, and any "evidence" that says it did is just the Area 51 aliens fucking with our minds with their elements that the world scientific community - because they want to control everyone - refuses to admit exists, but which they use in their secret radiation and other experiments that make us think we have control over our lives.

17. Of course I am. It's pure fact. The evidence is there.
Think about it - have you ever been in Colorado and been able to see Connecticut?

No, you haven't. PRETTY FUCKING WEIRD, DON'T YOU THINK?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!

Only the government, with alien help, could do that.

21. I know, i was just kidding

I think it's a symptom of boredom, personally... people don't have enough to think about, so they make up stories to entertain themselves.
