Good for you for adopting a black cat too; they're the hardest ones to place for rescue groups (sad, but true).

26. It's the most common color, and there's nothing that really "stands out"

about a black cat. Markings help to give a cat personality in many people's eyes (obviously black cats have loads of personality-just look at your video)! I know from working in pet rescue that many of our local animal shelters euthanize black kittens when they come in because they are so hard to adopt out, and because some people "adopt" them only to do awful things to them (especially around Halloween). :-(

I told my next door neighbors this when they were looking for a new kitten, and they came home with a little black female that weekend!
