Fun times.
I have trouble with the the muscles between my shoulder blades, ever since HS. That problem will go away eventually. The IRS? Damn.
I was on unemployment a couple years ago. I cashed out my state retirement so I could pay my rent and not get evicted and sued. This was my 2005 return. Paid the 10% penalty for early withdrawal. Got the bright idea to amend the return and sent a letter explaining the situation about unemployment and respectfully requested that the 10% be refunded. Request denied. I can accept that. It was a gray area anyway. But what stunned me is that the IRS has now BILLED ME for the 10% I already paid. (No, they did not send the the amended amount to be refunded...)
Until this mess is straightened out, they'll seize whatever refund I'm due and also keep whatever rebate check the government is issuing this summer.
I need my refund to move. I need to file my return for Lelapin's financial aid.
Damn.
Damn. And of course there's no one to talk to on the weekend.
