It's your last meal ever. What's on the table?
Edited on Tue Feb-10-04 01:09 PM by Dees
I'd start with shrimp cocktail (Gulf Reds)
Basket of Zeno's Steakhouse onion rings

My own pan fried chicken and white chicken gravy
Mashed potatoes
Sliced tomatoes ripened on the vine
Fried battered zucchini slices
My Mom's crescent rolls
Corn on the cob
Sweet tea
Blackberry cobbler and home made vanilla bean ice cream.

What carbs and fats? It's your last, who cares.

edit...I forgot one thing.. a couple of slices from Lombardi's Pizza
in OC, MD

17. Let's see:
Edited on Tue Feb-10-04 01:45 PM by Spider Jerusalem
hors d'ouevres: Imperial Beluga caviar, blinis, smoked Scottish salmon on toast points, 1982 Taittinger Blanc des Blancs champagne.

Soup: lobster bisque.

Salad: Caesar, with more of the smoked salmon.

Meat: filet of beef tenderloin, blood rare, with grilled Portobello mushrooms and a bottle of 1874 Chateau Lafite.

Fish: Grilled Chilean sea bass. 1938 Chateau Petrus.

Skip the dessert and straight to coffee (Blue Mountain), Turkish cigarettes and a snifter of Armagnac (preferably 1942).

If it's going to be my last meal, ever, damn the expense...might as well do it right...heh.

you're killing me. What tannins are left in the Petrus will react with the oils in the Toothfish and make it taste like aluminum foil.

and since we're eating endangered species, can I have some Abalone and a few Gorilla Steaks as well?

28. Chinese food
No question.

I'd start with a Mandarin Chicken Salad (technically not chinese food)

Then Boneless spare ribs

followed by Family Style Bean Curd

Finished with peppermint ice cream

Then I'd crush a fortune cookie, read the fortune, probably laugh, and drink the hemlock

30. Other than my soiled panties

Not sure if I'd want to eat.

But if I could eat anything it would be high in carbohydrate content. Probably the biggest bowl of Scallops Scampi over Angel Hair Pasta with the biggest chunks of garlic in it. I'd have a large serving of Garlic Cheese bread on the freshest Italian bread. And I'd eat tons and tons of Vanilla Fudge Swirl Ice Cream with gobs of Skippy Honey Roasted Peanut Butter on top of it.

41. The Special from Columbia's Steak House
in Lexington, KY. I mean the Columbia's on N. Limestone St., not any of those others.

For those of you poor souls who don't know, the special is a thick filet and a baked potato. Those in the know also get a Diego salad and a glass of ice tea. And a beer.

Ah.

There is no better meal on the planet.

42. Ah...food lust...
start with a nice Irish Mist on the rocks and a hot artichoke dip with peppercorn crackers.
Move on to seafood chowder with hot extra sourdough bread and butter.
A nice shrimp Caesar salad and chardonnay.
Then our main course - lots of steamed Dungeness crab with drawn garlic butter, buttery rice pilaf, freshly steamed asparagus spears (who cares about asparagus pee, I won't be around to smell it) and Dom Perignon.
Dessert should be chocolate souffle and a really fine French press coffee, with perhaps a side shot of liqueur of choice - Bailey's or Kahlua, maybe.
Finishing with a nice cup of hemlock.

Hmmm. Maybe I won't wait for my last meal.

Edited on Tue Feb-10-04 06:16 PM by Padraig18
King Crab cocktail, to start. Rare prime rib and mushroom/pan-drippings gravy, stuffed, twice-baked potatoes, spinach salad with bacon-dripping dressing, cauliflower au gratin, Yorkshire pudding, sliced, vine-ripened 'Better Boy' tomatoes, red onions and cucumbers vinaigrette, baked acorn squash, my Granny's potato/yeast rolls with fresh butter, and for dessert an apple-custard tart with heavy cream.

I'd like iced rea and a good, solid pinot noir to drink.
