KITTY PIX: Poor quality cellphone photos of the boikatz
Edited on Mon Feb-11-08 05:59 PM by KitchenWitch
This is Mouse - He is ginormous

This is Reese - He is FLUFFFFFFFY

I have seen each of them for a grand total of 10 minutes today.

I am a little worried. They have not eaten anything since they have been here.

1. Awww!
They're so cute! Reese's little face...I want to huggle him!

About the eating...are you certain they didn't eat during the night?

If you're sure they didn't, then I'd try bribing them with treats or wet food.

3. Awwwwwww, cutehs!!!
Don't worry about them not eating. It's very normal while they adjust. They will not starve to death. Just keep a bowl of water close to their hiding place.

My parents adopted two tiny sisters a few years ago and it took several days for them to come out from behind the clothes dryer. They were very traumatized. They rule the house now.

Here's one of my fuzzy sisters, Gaby.

15. Mouse is actually a tad on the rotund side
So I am not worried about him starving to death anyway.

Reese is pretty much at the right weight (or maybe a tiny bit overweight).

7. Cheap cell phone pix or not, they are gorgeous!
You might want to try a product called Feliway to calm their nerves so they start eating again (available at most pet stores). As for tempting foods; a couple of good human grade products out there are solid gold blended tuna (available at PetCo) and Liv-a-Littles freeze dried chicken treats (Whole foods or another health food store). I used to do kitten fostering for a local rescue group and those products worked just about every time. I stay away from grocery store brands, and here's why: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=243&topic_id=4388&mesg_id=4388

Best of luck to your adorable twosome!

8. Don't worry about them not eating.
They are just adjusting to new surroundings. They will soon eat you out of house and home. And read Lorien's advice on the food. They are two beautiful kitties.

12. They are adorable, and they will be fine!
Sometimes a little wheedling is necessary before they trust you...

And there's excellent food advice here!

Thanks for the pics!
