PETA has gone overboard this time.
I just received this from one of my vegetarian group lists. Now, I am an animal rights advocate, but PETA can go too far sometimes.

PETA'S "LIVE MAKE-OUT TOUR" BEDS DOWN IN SAN DIEGO IN TIME FOR
VALENTINE'S DAY

Vegetarians Make Better Lovers, Says Couple

For Immediate Release:
February 9, 2004

Contact:
Ravi Chand 757-622-7382

San Diego -- In a pre-Valentine's Day public display of passion that's
bound to raise a few eyebrows and turn lots of heads, two PETA
members--a U.S. Marine and Iraq War vet wearing only boxer shorts and a
raven-haired beauty decked out in sexy lingerie--will passionately make
out in a bed set up on the sidewalk at a prominent intersection in
order to make the point that vegetarians are better lovers. While the
comely couple is "getting it on," activists holding a banner reading,
"Vegetarians Make Better Lovers," will pass out free vegetarian
starter kits to let gaping onlookers know how they can spice up their
own sex lives. It's all part of PETA's Valentine's week "Live Make-Out
Tour" of the Southwest:

Date: Tuesday, February 10
Time: 12 noon
Place: Fourth and Broadway, downtown, in front of Horton Plaza

Why do vegetarians have it all over meat-eaters in the bedroom? For
one thing, vegetarians are, on average, more fit and trim and have
more energy and stamina than people who stuff themselves with
fat-laden meat, dairy products, and eggs. And vegetarians don't have
to rely on chemical potions like Viagra to be up for any task: The
cholesterol in meat and other animal products causes hardening of the
arteries, slowing the flow of blood to all the body's vital organs,
not just the heart. Speaking of heart, there's nothing sexy about
someone who turns a blind eye to the daily suffering of the billions
of animals raised and killed for food.

"What could be more of a turn-on than snuggling up to someone who's
both passionate and compassionate," asks PETA Vegan Campaign Director
Bruce Friedrich. "Try a veggie burger in the kitchen for a whopper in
the bedroom!"

PETA's Live Make-Out Tour will also heat up the streets of El Paso,
Texas; Tucson, Ariz.; Albuquerque, N.M.; and Colorado Springs, Colo.

reams of video and give full reportage on all news outlets 24/7 in order to ascertain the level of immorality.

6. PETA is an excellent example of the fallacy of
believing you are absolutely, inarguably right and moral, and therefore anything you do is right and moral as well. Examples include not only this, but the slandering of Dr. Atkins, the lies about the Atkins diet, and spreading panic over mad cows.

i go out in the garden and listen to the screams of all the plants i rrrip out of the ground and tttear their vines. i won`t describe the sounds of my bushes when i trrrim them. if god didn`t want us to eat meat he wouldn`t have given us canine teeth.
vegie lovers make better lovers is pretty stupid, but not as stupid as the anti-milk crap they pulled in madison,wisconsin..duh-the dairy state?

19. I need a male meat-eater who wants to join me in out-making out over PETA
I'll go head to head with PETA on this one. My only requirements for my makeup buddy is you have to be a non-smoker (ugh - smokers breath) and decent teeth (I can't kiss a guy with really bad teeth).

Who wants to join me, I have a vintage 1940's Christian Dior Black Silk Negligee I'll wear!!

That is decidedly UNsexy.

(plus, judging from people I know personally and my own diet history, vegetarians are NOT thinner.)

24. Since I cut back on the dairy and meat....
I only have one "artery" that's "hardening"....That explains why I need cold showers when I've been hitting the Gardenburgers a bit hard...:-)

I like this campaign. it's cute, not like their usual over-the-top crap.
