1. How is no one going to find out...
...if you call to ask permission?

If it were Angelina Jolie, my SO would say no unless I could bring home video footage, or Angelina...

8. No, I would not
Angelina Jolie isn't my type, but I wouldn't cheat with a woman who was my type. I'd be tempted, and afterwards I'd think about how it would have been, but I still wouldn't do it.

I'm so frightfully noble! Or frightfully something.

9. Statisticalyy
A little over half of y'all, male or female, would, will, or have cheated.

Interesting to note that women are not only more likely to cheat multiple times, but less lkely to feel guilty about it afterwards. DAMN YOUR GENDER STRAIGHT TO HELL! (but I'm not bitter or anything ;-) )

12. Nope. I was married for 9 years and never cheated
I was miserable but I didn't cheat. I was adult enough to own up to my own unhappiness and work to change it.

Loyalty is a strong attribute of mine. I expect the same in return.

13. No way. Even if they suggested it.
None of my husbands ever had the imagination to suggest it, but even so, never did, never would. Not nice. And I'm pretty philosophical about men straying. Must be prejudiced, hmm? It's ok if people have an open marriage (that's their business), but I just couldn't face myself. It's in the vows.

Hell, I'm way below average as far as hiding things. Michael reads my mood swings before I do-I could never pull off an affair (even if I wanted too). He knows me far too well

18. What I'm saying is...
Edited on Thu Aug-07-03 01:41 AM by Rowdyboy
I'm not a good liar. Could I hide a surprise birthday party? Sure? Could I keep a secret about my best friend? Have for 25 years. I just can't hide my feelings about my partner in life. If I had a sexual relationship with anyone other than my partner, my agitation would be evident to him-he KNOWS me. He has for 15 years. I seriously could not possibly keep something like that a secret from him-its not in me. Hell, he knows when I have a headache just by looking at me! He knows when I'm depressed, he knows when I'm horny, he knows when I'm ready to get serious. After awhile, you start to read each other and hiding things becomes much more difficult.

In truth, I have nothing to hide anymore...

25. No, never!
I don't just want my wife to belong to me - I want to belong to her also.

(And before you jump on me, I don't use the word "belong" in a total ownership kind of way - those of you who have been in love know what I mean)

People sometimes get all confused and upset because they are attracted to other people. I'm attracted to lots of the women I meet. I don't WANT them, but I am attracted to them. They look and act yummy, but I know they are poison to me and I have no desire to act on my attraction.

27. No
I took a vow to honor and cherish my wife, I take that very seriously. I waited a long time to get to where I am today and I'm not about to throw it away cheating on the woman I love.

I've witnessed first hand what cheating does to relationships, watched things blow up, and heard crying tales afterwards of sorrow and remorse. I'm not about to sing that song.

Even if there were no chance of getting caught, which is a pretty far fetched assumption to start out with, I'd be throwing up from the guilt - and I'm not even Catholic. x(

29. I'm no longer married, but
I've been married to two cheats. I was never tempted to cheat on either of them. It never would have occurred to me. If I love someone, I actually love them. That means I don't dishonor them. I have been on the other side of cheating, and I can say unequivocally that I would never, ever subject another person to that. As a single woman, I won't engage in even a casual flirtation with someone in a relationship. If a partnered man suggested cheating, he'd be likely to find his treasures nailed to the wall, and detailed, documented evidence provided to his SO.

37. yes, but only with
kate winslett or liz hurley.

Does marriage mean loving someone no matter what they do, or watching the purity of their biological reproduction machine?... ?

Fuck whomever you want, and make no issues about it... for all the fantasies about it, once the sex is over, you have to make your be with someone who you REALLY love.

Sometimes marriage has dry spells. I have no judgements about someone who wants a drink during a such a dry time. ;-)
