9. Wow, I've lost all faith in DU

I can't believe that Bowie isn't blowing marvin away. Not that Marvin is bad - he's got fun music, and was impressive in his genre - but come on, we're talking BOWIE here, a true visionary, someone who helped redefine and recreate rock music, who has always pushed further and beyond what he's done before, trying new things, exploring, being creative.

He's one of the true giants.

While I like them both, I saw Bowie live during the Ziggy Stardust tour. (yes, I'm dating myself there.) One of the best live "shows" I've ever witnessed. It was not merely a concert.

I was in a college dorm room when I first heard Ziggy Stardust. I think I related to the tone of despair/vitality coming out of that vinyl. I called it "sarcastic angst". It still kills me to hear it.
