When we announced the "Hide Lounge" function, a lot of people asked why we couldn't offer functions to hide other forums from the Latest Page too. Well we thought about it and... why not. The more ways there are for everyone to customize their experience at DU, the better.

So if we can hit 800 donations by 11PM tonight, we'll do it. The function will allow you to hide GD:2004 threads on the Latest Page by selecting the option in your profile.

I just need one (well, maybe two) things explained to me. What does the "Mark all" function do and what the heck is "Hide GD:2004" function with the "Replies to Me" function.

Also, on the donation form, it asks for a password and screen name; however, they have to be less than 8 characters. My screen name on here is frankly_fedup2. So are you wanting a completely different screen name and password for donations, or do you want the same user name and password that one has to the site. Because if it is the latter, I'm screwed!

37. Let me try to help...

1. Replies to me - tracks those that have replied to your posts.
2. Hide GD:2004 - allows you to hide those thread titles from the latest page (I think). Just so you don't have to see them if they bug you.
3. No separate password and user name should be needed to donate - as long as you are signed in.

41. Okay, just what I know...

Mark all marks everything in a forum (Such as the Lounge for instance) as read, so the next time you log on, the items which are new will be easy to find even in a long thread.

Hide GD:2004 means that on the front page, after you've logged in, you won't even need to see the primaries forum if you don't wish to. -Or you can, if you wish, -your choice.

'Replies to Me' allows you to easily see replies to posts you've made.

They mean the forum name and password you already have, - so they know to whom to apply the donor benefits.

Thanks for the info everyone. However, regarding the screen name and password, they can only be 8 characters. My screen name here is frankly_fedup2 and not to mention my pw.

I had to make up a completely new screen name and pw. However, there was a box that showed my screen name that is like my default her for DU that should get the gold star by it.

So, now with all the donations, can you guys quit your day jobs and focus just on DU?

It's easy to see how much hard work goes into DU. And my favorite part . . . no popups and no cheap advertising.

Keep up the good work and I'll keep trying to help support the cause as long as I possibly can. :toast:
