My wife just turned on The Cutting Edge and reminded me of one of my favorite brunettes.

1. I still remember her in "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me."

She was a much better Donna than Lara Flynn Boyle.

Cutting Edge is one of my favorite romantic comedies. My ex and I rented it years ago, and ever since, I have to watch it everytime I catch it on TV. There was great chemistry between she and her co-star. Loved all the sarcasm and bickering between them... some great lines!

5. Cutting Edge is one of those movies that just shouldn't work.

It's low budget, it's cliche, you know how it will end. But thanks to the great performances, it REALLY works. It's a shame that both Kelly and D.B. Sweeney have not made it bigger in the film world.

7. I've worked with both...

Moira Kelly in "Drive, She Said", and D.B. Sweeney a couple of times.

Moira IS a doll. she's a wonderful and warm person, as well a a fine actor. I, too, don't know why she isn't a bigger star.

D.B. on the other hand...he's a bit of a prick. He kind of "assholes" himself out of work--there aren't too many producers who want to work with him more than once. He's what we call a "HMP" ("High-Maintainence Performer").
