tells you it is not formatted?
Then it asks if you want to go ahead and format, but you'll lose everything on the disk.
Huh?
I took some pics with my Sony digital mavica and they showed up just fine when previewing it in the camera. But my computer won't show them to me...I get the formatting message. I don't understand because I already had one photo on the disk that I was able to view on the computer. Very confused.

1. If you have Norton or some other disk repair |
|
have it check it before you give up.

2. I've had Mavicas do funny things like that. |

Have you tried re-inserting the disk in your computer? Do you have another computer you can try reading it on?
If I remember right, it worked better for me when I formatted the disk in the computer before I used it, and didn't format it with the camera.
There's also a chance that your floppy drive in your computer is dirty or beginning to fail--sometimes they get really picky about disks. Has the disk been re-used quite a few times?
