Monsoon and Magnolias
Just what the hell is going on with the weather on the gulf coast this spring and summer?

From 3-4 years of drought to WATERLOGGED. I live on a bay and my seawall/bulkhead is collapsing. Grass too wet to cut for 2 weeks. I'll have to hire somebody with a Bush-Hog.

Paved roads and highways that have been in place for decades are being undermined and washing out. My neighbor's brick mailbox has sunk 3 feet.

Is it global warming?
Or have we been bad and we're being punished?
Should we leave the 10 commandments in the courthouse?
ENOUGH!

1. The whole south as been waterlogged
this year.

Even here in NC, we should be in the middle of the dry season. But we get rain nearly every day.

How wet is it? Kerr Lake, which sits on the NC, VA border has been overflowing its banks all summer. Campsites, boat launches and fishing platforms are only now starting to reappear after being submerged since spring.

I think it is global warming.

Your house isn't sinking is it trof?

2. Not yet.
And damn if it isn't raining again right now.
A cement sidewalk going from the back door down to the dock has cracked and one side has sunk 2".
Been here 10+ years and never seen anything like it.

5. But SW Mississippi is still dry...
it seems like all of the rain has been north of natchez, or south of hattiesburg. The region in between is still dry dry dry dusty and dry.

4. May we have some of your water, please???
We are sitting out here in the middle of the desert, and these fools just keep puttin' up houses, as if none of these "new" people will want/need water..

I am doing my part...my yard has been dead for years
