Since I'm a pan galactic space penguin I have only two possible questions, where is the bathroom? And should humanity be nature's new D student?
Four monkeys are placed in a room with a set of small stairs, at the top of these stairs is a bunch of bananas. Each time a monkey goes for the bananas all of the monkeys are sprayed with a high pressure hose. After a few hundred attempts the monkeys stopped pursuing the fruit. Monkeys, plain old monkeys, learned a simple lesson because there was pain involved.
However human beings have waged countless wars, drove hundreds of species into extinction, and have taken advantage of each other since the beginning, but nothing has changed. At the very least such behavior is getting worse. Human beings have confirmed that such behavior is self destructive, yet it continues. Is it simply that humanity is unable to stop such behavior or that there are people who don't wish to stop it?
Why continue when the solutions are so simple? Are humans just slow?
