What is your blood pressure?
According to wikipedia, normal blood pressure is

For most individuals, a healthy blood pressure lies from 90/50 mmHg to 130/90 mmHg. A small drop in blood pressure, even as little as 20 mmHg, can result in transient hypotension.

Mine is 109/51.

1. Thats very good
Even on medication I can't get that low. I read 130/85 at the doctors today. I've had 180/105 and 117/75 both in the last 3 months...

2. Wowzers.
130/85 sounds pretty good. Were you under a good deal of ambient stress for 180/105 to be measured?

I always thought it a tad low; my lifestyle choices are typically... sedate. This I have been improving on, and my doctor this morning seemed concerned for a moment. However, the increase in exercise combined with maintaining sodium intake should alleviate any future concerns of hypotension.

5. Yeah I was pretty stressed with the 180/105
Oddly enough..the 117/74 was when I was being prepped for my recent bone marrow biopsy-and they hadn't given me any drugs yet!:o

3. I lucked out...
my mom has high BP and my dad has high LDL, but I got my mom's low LDL and my dad's normal BP. yeah, I'm pretty much as close to physical perfection as possible... but.. I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

8. My dear Hypno...
Mine varies...

The last time at the doctor's, it was 140/70.

And then it's been measured at 124/60...

I take drugs to keep it controlled...

Your is excellent, and not to worry about!

9. Fluctuating lately
They have one of those automated readers at work and I use it 2x day.

Lately it's been in the 120s/60s in the morning.... prehypertensive that concerns me...

In the afternoon at the end of the day it's back down to 110s/50s

And the past couple of days it's been 90s/50s or even high 48 -49.

So it's all over the place. I need an appt soon anyway.

FYI - since I have wonky heart valves, they like my BP to be as low as possible.

10. Last time mine was 85/50, they made me lay down and drink juice!

That was when I got all my fellow employee's fired up to donate blood and then the day came
and I, as their lead instigator, was denied the privilege to donate due to low blood pressure.

Since then, due to a lot of high job and life stress and weight gain, my blood pressure has been 190/95.

but since I quit that job ( on Dr's orders) and my parents died, it went down...

I haven't had any health insurance since then, so I don't know what it is... I'm guessing it's high.

But I do now have health insurance finally and I'll be seeing a Dr. soon... even a dentist on Wednesday!!
