Is it mandatory to like your siblings? |
|
Simply by virtue of them being your siblings?
My brother is a pain in the ass. I figured he'd have smartened up by now (he's 13), but, alas, he hasn't. At all.
Sigh.

1. It is not mandatory to like a 13-year-old, sibling or not. |
|
In fact, it is often very difficult to like 13-year-olds. Your brother is a pain in the ass because he is 13. He might be likable again by the time he's 25 or so.

There are very good reasons why I no longer talk to my two sisters.

4. Almost no 13 year old boys are worth liking. |
|
Seems awfully early to write him off, unless he's mugging nuns or something.

someday he may quit being an ass or a pain in the ass but at 13 don't expect that to be soon.

6. You're going through the worst part right now |
|
The teenage years are the absolute worst for the whole family! Things do improve as you both get older. I hated my younger brother when I was a teenager, but when I got to university and he did some stupid stuff - (minor shop-lifting), it was me down at the police station being up-in-your-face to the cops in his defense.

7. I love my brother. . . |
|
I just don't like him and would NEVER choose him to be my friend. His insecurity and need to be "worshiped" makes him unpredictable and I'm always on egg-shells around him.

10. No. However, you may find that you like them better as time passes and... |
|
space separates you. If not, that's OK.
