It is at the dead end of Harbour River, a circular salt water pond about two hundred yards in diameter. My flashing light depth finder shows the hole to be funnel shaped. The center of the hole is sixty feet deep. I put some crap traps in the hole and discover where the stone crabs live.
The Crabberman only supposed to take one claw and then return the living crab back into the water. At five dollars a pound one is tempted to take both claws. I never do that.
Cape Romain Light house is close by. Big rattle snakes live up on Light house Island I am told. I never go there to find out! Too spooky as is the hole in the bottom of the water.
DUer a year or so gonna buy a house near there. Did you?
