I finally told off the people on that other board

Well here it is.....The guy, for no reason attacked me by calling me a "Lamer" on his little breakdown of the board. Usually this wouldn't upset me too much but this board is full of egomaniacs and assholes. My co-worker said it's because most of them are fresh outta school and just cocky little punks that have yet to have life beat them down with a stick.

I am stuckintherockies. That Dutchraygun guy is pretty funny, and on my side.

Layabout you must be a terrible reporter. I've hardly posted much on this site and already you think you can judge me.
Truthfully I don't know what the hell is with some of the people on this site. A bunch of children that write things so immature I can't believe they are supposedly professionals in this field. That being said I'm about to contradict myself and say if you brought that attitude in to the newsroom I'm in, you'd already have a black eye and busted teeth.

Actually layabout is a good journalist. I worked with him for a time, he just likes to get the poor oversensitive types to cry. Maybe you should thicken that skin of yours stuckintherockies it will help your career. But, you're obviously a tough guy threatening physical violence (always mature) especially when you are across the country and never have to put any weight behind your words.

Best not to listen to types like buttgrabber/layabout and Northbeat. These two small-timers are just that, small-timers. Northbeat can't even write a semi-coherent post, so don't waste your time gettting offended by this jock-sniffer wannabe and his little friend. There's better, bigger and smarter fish to fry on this thread.

Oversensitive? I supposed when someone insults you for no reason you're as cool as a cucumber. Oh, he likes to get people upset, how admirable. People who go around pulling crap like that are pathetic.

In the real world, posters like Northbeat and laybout don't have half the attitude they try to show off here. Catch them in person and they'd be whimpering and snivelling on each others' sleeves. Of course, you'd never catch them in person, since they'd be too busy hanging out in their one-room basement suite, grumbling about how their editors suck and their amazing story on last week's Bantam tournament was partially covered up by a Crimestoppers ad during pre-press.
Oh, sure, they get by. They like to remember the good old days, back when they got drunk at Fartmunchers Community College after a hard day of interviewing their instructors and marvelling over their CD reviews in the college paper. Even today, they continue to dream. They dream of the day one of them will get hired by a "real good paper," such as the Fort McMurray Today.
It's quite sad, actually, but what's even sadder is there's nothing we can do for types like this.
