Poll question: Favorite Black Sabbath Album Before They Kicked Ozzy Out
Sabotage... Definitely Sabotage. I think it was the perfect Black Sabbath album, in every way.

1. Volume 4
Just flat out rifftastic. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath comes in second for me.

Can I vote for Paranoid as the most overrated?

2. Overrated, or maybe just most well-known?
I was barely one year old when it came out, so I didn't get to experience these things in real time.

3. Well, one indicates the other I think...
It is most well known so people rate it as their favorite or the best. But i think overall the songs themselves are weaker an overall it's not as consistent an album as some of the others.

5. Exactly......and it's by no means a bad album.....
Just that I find that most people familiar with the entire catalog of Ozzy era Sabbath find it to be not as good an album overall as some others.

15. Side two flows well, I like Tomorrow's Dream
Probably my favorite Sabbath song "riff wise" is National Acrobat from Sabbath Bloody Sabbath although the song sort of loses it at the end.

16. War Pigs
IS very appropriate today:

Generals gathered in their masses,
just like witches at black masses.
Evil minds that plot destruction,
sorcerers of death's construction.
In the fields the bodies burning,
as the war machine keeps turning.
Death and hatred to mankind,
poisoning their brainwashed minds.
Oh lord, yeah!

Politicians hide themselves away.
They only started the war.
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor, yeah.

Time will tell on their power minds,
making war just for fun.
Treating people just like pawns in chess,
wait till their judgement day comes, yeah.

Now in darkness world stops turning,
ashes where the bodies burning.
No more War Pigs have the power,
Hand of God has struck the hour.
Day of judgement, God is calling,
on their knees the war pigs crawling.
Begging mercies for their sins,
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings.
Oh lord, yeah!

8. "black sabbath" was definatly the best.....
it was recorded live in studio on an old 4 track mixer in one day(between tour dates) and released on feb.13, 1970...friday the 13th btw.....

"warning"

Now the first day that I met ya
I was looking in the sky,
When the sun turned all a blur and the thunder clouds rolled by
The sea began to shiver and the wind began to moan,
It must of been a sign for me to leave you well alone
I was warned about you baby but my feelings were a little bit too strong

You never said you love meand I don't believe you can,
'Cos I saw you in a dream and you were with another man
You looked so cool and casual and I tried to look the same,
But now I've got to love ya,
Tell me who am I to blame?
I was warned about you baby but my feelings were a little bit too strong

Now the whole wide world is movin
''Cos there's iron in my heart,
I just can't keep from cryin' 'cos you say we've got to part
Sorrow grips my voice as I stand here all alone
And watch you slowly take away a love I've never known
I was warned about you baby but my feelings were a little bit too strong,
Just a little bit to strong

9. I'm the only person who voted for Sabotage?
It must have been caused by that "Hole In The Sky" or that "Symptom Of The Universe".

14. Not anymore....
Sabotage, easily their peak....songs like Megalomania, The Writ and The Thrill of it All are just spot-on.
