It's seriously an either/or thing with that mofo. The Thing, Halloween, Escape From New York were all good movies. 90% of his other crap sucks hot shit though.

1. Early ones good; Assault On Precinct 13 was good. Starman a good later one.
After that he's been pretty spotty.

3. I've thought the same thing. Actually his stuff post 1989 sucks.
Escape from LA was horrid. I mean, I guess it's an ok movie if you're just bored and nothing is on, but damn, it isn't very good.

But it's the same for Wes Craven and George Romero, too.

5. Fine. Substitute it with Escape from LA
I'm actually somewhat curious to see it, just to revel in its badness

6. Because the scripts all suck ass.
Sometimes they are saved by the skills of the actors...

I am always up for re-watching "They Live"

7. I'll be the first here to say it
The Fog sucked wet ass. Really, really wet ass.

Other than that I agree with your statement, although Escape from LA was kind of fun to watch, not as good as the first but like putting Escape from New York in a blender and mixing it with goofiness.

8. I watched The Fog last night for the first time.
I was kind of neutral on it. It probably could have been a lot better, but for the most part it was kind of lame.

12. I want to say I was neutral on it.
But it really was just so lame and un-scary. Predictable. Bleah.

13. I'd say The Fog was more of damp ass
but it certainly freaked me out as a kid. I think that's why I liked The Mist so much

9. Prince of Darkness scared the bejeebers out of me.
It's kind of cheesy but scary just the same.

11. Watched that on some pay per view deal back in the day
It was free for some reason so why not. What I remember most about it was the little information screen that preceded it. Some group of people trapped in a church terrorized by "Satin." Kid you not.
