Was Laura Bush ever investigated for murder? |
|
Does anyone know the whole story about young Laura Bush running a stop sign that led to the death of a classmate? I know the boy's family forgave her, but was there every a proper investigation? Has there been an investigation since that time? Did any money exchange hands? Did Laura know the boy? Did she suffer any consequences for her reckless driving? Was she given a breathalyzer test? Is there a statute of limitations on murder in Texas? This seems like a more worthy subject of investigation than anything Drudge drudges up.

1. She killed her boyfriend! |

As I recall, the view of the road she was approaching wasn't blocked by trees or buildings. It sounds like there wasn't much of an investigation. I think I recall reading an article about someone who wanted to revisit the scene but couldn't find it; did they rename the road?
Also, it sounds like the legal records are a little fuzzy - similar to George Bush's National Guard service.

2. Wonder why the media isn't looking into this? |

I have not seen any detailed story about her crime. It seems to me that murder, accidental or not, is a worthy story. Or does the press only choose to cover rumors about sex? This is very strange.
