11. He used plans.
He's always worked with wood as a hobby, but this is his biggest project. He used to build guitars, but it wasn't very lucrative.

my cousin had a vintage Chris Craft about that size that he restored. It was gorgeous, but SO high-maintenance.

Reminds me of the many lake wooden speedboats I saw, rode in, skiied behind as kid growing up during my MN summers!

Wow! What great craftsmanship!
Is this the first one he's built?
(am doubting it...seems very profesional!)


This is the type of Chris Craft family had back in the '60s

He's been working on it in his spare time for a couple of years now. He and my sister live in the Lakes Region of NH, so it shouldn't be too hard for him to sell it.
