20. Yes I did. Yes I did indeed.
On my way out of the office, I passed the mail boxes and someone asked with me some desperation if I might have a spare interoffice envelope. Apparently, the supply closet was locked because the reception area was closed for the day and this individual really, really needed an interoffice envelope. Now it should be understood that where I work you can have all the pens and notebooks you can carry, you can drown youself in free coffee and you can frequently find free cake for the small price of your feigned interest in someone's birthday but interoffice envelopes are treated like an endangered species. Some of us don't even fill out the next open line of "To" and "From" boxes in the hope that the envelope will enjoy a longer functional existence and everyone is periodically emailed to return any interoffice envelopes they are not using because of our chronically short supply.

I didn't think I had any on me but just to show I cared, I started looking through my laptop case and found, lo and behold, an empty interoffice envelope that I had forgotten was there. Based on the lines of "To" and "From" boxes filled in, it was only 5 transactions old and still had a perfect red closure string on it. I was actually a little embarrassed by my riches but proudly gave it to my relatively destitute coworker, who thanked me profusely.
